〈조율된 입자〉는 아날로그 매체인 슈퍼 8(Super 8) 필름으로 2025년 오사카·간사이 엑스포의 풍경을 담는다. 이미 지나가 버린 매체로 어쩌면 영원히 도달하지 않을 미래를 쫓으며 멈춰 선 개인의 시간을 겹쳐낼 때, 시간은 하나의 리듬으로 조율된다.

Shot on Super 8 film at the 2025 Osaka–Kansai Expo and later transferred to digital video, The Attuned drifts through the futuristic pavilions, crowds, and spectacles of the Expo. Amid scenes of technological optimism, the artist’s mother gradually appears through fragments of conversation, speaking of “living until the year 3000 through artificial organs.”

The film traverses these two timelines: the Expo’s projected future and the suspended, personal time of a woman whose path was quietly redirected by the shifts of life. Her memories emerge as those of a former Korean first-generation female programmer whose career ended with retirement—a life that unfolded within a very different temporal horizon.

Through the grainy texture of Super 8, obsolete yet intimate, the film constructs fleeting “particles” of time—moments born from the collision of futures promised and lives already lived. In this convergence, disparate temporalities are tuned into a fragile, singular rhythm.
